Description

The National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces (NCMAF) is holding its yearly conference in January 2019. Endorsers, associate endorsers, spouses, and chaplains are invited to come to the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Virginia for this three-day conference to discuss Excellence in Leadership featuring:

  • New endorser training by facilitators: Chap. Jack Lea and Dr. Ken Bush
  • Coaching, Val Hastings, Founder/President, Coaching4Clergy
  • Emotional Intelligence, Dr. Sarah Spradlin, Founder/CEO, Vitruvian Advantage
  • Personality Diversity, Fr. William Hood, CEO, Eunoia
  • Religious Liberty Panel with Daniel Blomberg, Counsel, Beckett Law and Mike Berry, Deputy General Counsel, First Liberty Institute

with additional workshops as well as a variety of exhibitors and military recruiters.

Also, attendees have the option to attend special NCMAF events at either the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum or Museum of the Bible. NCMAF is sponsoring tours to these museums on Monday morning. Costs include entry, a museum guide, and a WMATA Metro Card with pre-loaded round trip fare. (Attendees must register for the special events by December 31, 2018 so that arrangements can be made with the museums. The tours will happen simultaneously, so please only choose one option.)

(Note: Hotel room costs are not included in the conference fees. NCMAF conference hotel rates are $159 per night.)

FAQs

What are the registration fees and deadlines for the conference?
NCMAF strives to provide the best possible experience for our members and guests with an eye towards the lowest costs. This year the conference fees will be $350 if registered prior to November 1 and $400 thereafter. New endorsers are asked to pay $75 for the cost of their training materials and lunch. Spouses that wish to join us can do so for $250. The conference fee for exhibitors is $400. Please note that hotel room costs and transportation to the conference are not included in the fees. We ask that everyone register as soon as possible but no later than Friday, January 4, 2019. We cannot accept cancellations or grant refunds after this date due to food and beverage commitments with the hotel.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Marriott is located directly above the the Crystal City Metro Station on the Yellow and Blue Lines. It is encouraged that you utilize the Metro or the free airport shuttle from DCA (at scheduled times). Taxis and rideshare cars are readily available as well. Directions and other guidance is available from the
Crystal Gateway Marriott. Rental cars are discouraged because of parking costs. The Crystal Gateway Marriott has both valet ($41/day) and self-parking ($37/day) if you decide to drive and park.
